David trained as a dancer, singer and actor in Australia. He has worked professionally in Australia and abroad for over 15 years appearing in numerous musical theatre, television and film productions.

David was also the original Dance Captain in the World Premiere production of Dirty Dancing, which toured Australia. Since then, he has continued to work on Dirty Dancing around the world: the European Premiere of Dirty Dancing in Hamburg, Germany, as Assistant Choreographer; the West End premiere of Dirty Dancing as Choreographic Associate; and as the Associate Choreographer on the re-cast London production.
