Richard's career began with extensive exposure in Dougie Squires Second Generation which involved television and live performances throughout the UK, after which he joined Arlene Phillip's Hot Gossip Company. This has lead to an interesting and varied career for Richard, with particular success in London's West End musicals.
Musicals:Richie in A Chorus Line (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), The Rum Rum Tugger in Cats (New London Theatre), The Snake in Children Of Eden (Prince Edward Theatre) and more recently John in Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane).
Other theatre:Four Eyed Moe in the original cast of Five Guys Named Moe from 1991-1995 at the Lyric and Pooh-Bah in Hot Mikado at the Queens Theatre. During 2000 Richard toured the UK in I Was Looking At The Ceiling and Then I Saw The Sky playing the part of David. Recently he was in Fosse at The Prince of Wales Theatre.
TV: Reverend Rudkin in Judge John Deed, Keith Strachen in Casualty and Mr Albany in Doctors for the BBC, and David in Mosley for Alomo.
Film: Can't Stop The Music and The Stud. Richard has also presented Junior Dance for BBC Radio 5 and the BBC Schools Music Programme Time Tune.
